Buddha’s

Hand

Buddha’s hand is a variety of citrus fruit of oriental origin. The fruit, with its thick skin and richness in essential oils is very fragrant and less bitter than other citruses. Due to its aroma and softness it is highly recommended for use in cocktail making, where it also adds a delicate exotic touch.
Its appearance is quite peculiar as the fruit is divided into finger-like sections. It’s used as a religious offering in Buddhist temples, and according to legend, Buddha prefers it with the "fingers" in a closed hand position, symbolizing the act of prayer.
